Hello there!

I’m Ceylon.

I am so glad you are here. Maybe you are looking for help with weight loss, or just trying to understand your digestive issues. Or maybe you stumbled upon this page in hopes to free yourself of the food relationship issues you struggle with. You are not alone, and in fact you may relate to my story.

I found health and nutrition after years of struggling my own metabolism, sugar cravings, food senstivities and relationship with food. I did every fad diet in the book: you name it, I did. I took every “fat burning” pill - all I wanted was to be fit. Yet I later learned I had no idea what a healthy diet actually was. I was always trying to biohack the body, and find a secret shortcut to make myself thinner or fitter. This tore me apart in many ways, damaging my self trust and self-worth.

It wasn’t until I found functional medicine and holistic health that I learned how much I actually didn’t know about health. I worked for a dietary supplement and epigenetics company, led by a naturopathic doctor for over 7 years, and learned more about the biochemistry of the body than I did in school. The experience led me to become the Product Education Manager, where I taught physicians how to use the formulations in their protocols with their clients. I consulted customers in supplement formulations and genetic testing.

Throughout these years of exposure to natural and functional health, I learned that health is not calorie counting or pills or medications (though those things have a time and place). And weight loss was truly connected to health (something that was so hard for me to understand - I thought “I don’t want to eat like a “hippie” I just want to lose weight!”). I had finally found a whole foods diet approach, advanced testing, the elimination diet experiement, dietary supplements, and resistance training (weight lifting).

I fell in love with the changes in my own body and life, and continued my education through Harvard Medical School online courses, functional medicine conferences and seminars and eventually got certified as a health coach in 2017.

This brought me to want to help others who struggled with their weight, fad diets, and food relationship to come to a place of balance and results. I l launched my health and nutrition coaching practice in 2020, and in 2022, I started my masters in nutrition at Bastyr University.

If it wasn’t for the holistic approach and learning that exercise is a big piece of the puzzle, I may still have the food relationship issues I had in the past. Once I committed myself to changing my health step-by-step, consistently, I saw results like I had never seen before. And I continue to see results and discover new things about my health today. My mission is to help as many women and men as I can to obtain a healthy weight and physical fitness, to be free of their food relationship issues and cravings, and obtain a last energy throughout each day.

Some things about my personal life

I value community, adventure, and connection.

I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and my dog, Bloo.

When I am not working with nutrition clients, I am spending time with my husband and my dog, hanging out with friends, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, practicing yoga, weight training, watching movies or TV shows, reading, enjoying theatre or concerts, dancing, or playing music with my “band” (really just friends getting together to play!).

I believe that health is a balance of physical and mental wellness, and I strive to live that in my every day life.
